The Teen Choice Awards this year went up, ratings-wise, from last year 73%!! According to Nielsen ratings, this year also marked the highest showing in four years for 12-17 year olds; showing three weeks earlier than last year (duh before school starts!). What really made it big?

OBVI GOSSIP GIRL, MILEY, &THE JONAS BROTHERS!!! lololol The Jonas Brothers flying through the air on strings (a la *NSYNC) and the cast of Gossip Girl looked fabulous as usual (I have this rule where I try not to use the word ‘fabulous’ very often, but they absolutely embody it). The Jonas Brothers and the Gossip Girl crew both won 6 surfboard awards (GG had 14 noms!); Ellen Page got 2 (definitely worth wearing the preggo suit); Chris Brown got 4!

Im all about this right now, all the Disney crew rocked the stage and even The Hills grabbed two awards (I guess not EVERYBODY hates Heidi, right?) Here’s the list of wave riders:
