Nicole Ritchie and Joel Madden have been spotted at Coachella Music Festival. Called the largest outdoor music festival, this years line up seemed a bit disappointing to me. Coachella is the indie hipster’s favorite event to sweat a bajillion pounds off and paying 10 dollars for a bottle of water (but looking hip doing so).

This year’s line up featured Prince, Jack Johnson (surfs up, bro), Death Cab for Cutie (<3 Ben Gibbard), Rilo Kiley, Aphex Twins (”Windowlicker” is a hot track for those who are fans of “Grandma’s Boy”), and many many more. Please notice Joel’s shirt (he must be a theGreyList.com reader, right??)

[sidenote: Both Joel and Nicole have come out as public pro-Obama, the ever eloquent Madden, "he is a good man, he is cool... he is just a great person overall"- hey, if Obama can pull out the demographic that always forgets to vote, good for him. Even if it is Joel Madden, every little bit counts]

The concert, set in Southern California’s fave desert, Indio, had a huge turnout. Our fave stars turned out- Paris, Kelly Osbourne, Sarah Silverman, Sean Penn, Steven Tyler. When Coachella first started out nine years ago, co-founder Paul Tollett was called crazy for bringing together non-main stream music that was being snubbed by the radio, and now look at what’s up!

The three day music festival brought about 50,000 people a day. Now if that’s not Grey, I don’t know what is.
