This dress just goes to show that creative inspiration can occur in the most unlikely places.

Picture it - West Hollywood, February 2008: While stocking up on Diet Coke, sunflower seeds and Pirate’s Booty at the local Trader Joes,  a light bulb goes off in Rihanna’s head when going through the check-out line and the preoperative transgendered bag ”person” kindly asks her preference for paper versus plastic.  “AH HA!” she gleefully chirps.  And in a single grocery inspired instant, a Grammy performance frock is born.  I suppose it could have been worse…she could have chosen plastic.
